Content Rules
What you can upload and make, how we check it, and what happens when rules are broken.
Last updated: 2026-10-16
These rules apply to every photo you upload and every video made on this site.
What you can upload
- Photos you took or have the right to use.
- For effects made for pets and places: a photo of your pet, or of a room or a place, with no people in it. Photos that show a person are refused.
Never allowed
- Nudity and sexual content, including suggestive content made from someone's photo.
- Violence and gore, including threats and self-harm.
- Hate and harassment: content that attacks people for who they are, or that bullies or humiliates someone.
- Anything involving children. Photos that appear to show anyone under 18 are refused. Any content that sexualizes minors is reported to the authorities.
- Deepfakes and impersonation: putting a real person into a video without their consent, making a real person appear to say or do something, or using photos of celebrities, public figures or politicians. We don't offer face swap, and we don't accept reference videos.
- Copyright and trademark infringement: other people's artwork, characters, logos or photos you don't have the rights to.
Also never allowed: using videos to scam, mislead or defame anyone, or presenting AI videos as real footage to deceive.
How we check
- Every photo is checked automatically before anything is made, for nudity, signs of a minor, and people where an effect doesn't allow them. Photos that fail are refused and nothing is charged.
- Every finished video is checked frame by frame before you can see it. Videos that fail are removed and the credit comes back.
- We keep a record of refused uploads to stop repeated abuse.
- Reports are read by a person.
Our checks are automatic and can make mistakes in both directions, so these rules still apply to everything you make.
AI-generated
Videos on this site are made by AI (MiniMax-H3) and are AI-generated content, not real footage. Label them as AI where a platform asks you to.
What happens when rules are broken
We may refuse the upload, remove the video, warn you, and suspend or close your account. Accounts closed for serious or repeated violations lose their unused credits. Content involving the abuse of children is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other authorities.
Report something
If you see a video that breaks these rules, or a photo of you was used without your consent, report it or email support@deerlightlabs.com. If you think we refused your photo or restricted your account by mistake, write to the same address and we'll take another look.
