DIY angel wings
Start with a light wire or foam-board frame, feather boas or craft feathers, elastic straps and hot glue. Work on a protected surface, keep hot glue away from skin and let it cool before trying the wings on. Aim for a comfortable costume that lets you walk and sit, rather than trying to reproduce heavy show equipment.
How heavy are real show wings?
- Sketch two wing shapes and cut a foam-board frame, or bend a lightweight wire frame. Cover any sharp ends before wearing it.
- Arrange feather boas or craft feathers over the frame. Glue them in small sections and let each section cool and set before moving it.
- Attach elastic shoulder straps securely and check the fit over your outfit. Ask someone to help check the back rather than using hot glue while wearing it.
- Try walking, turning and sitting in the finished wings. Reduce their width or remove weight if they catch on furniture, pull on the straps or feel uncomfortable.
The outfit
Choose a sparkly bodysuit or dress you feel comfortable wearing, with fully opaque coverage throughout movement. Add tights if you want them, then heels or boots you can walk in. A halo or small tiara can finish the angel idea without needing a complicated costume. Keep the look appropriate for the party and its dress rules.
Check the outfit while sitting, bending and lifting your arms. Wings and straps should not pull the neckline or change the coverage. A costume photo can suggest the direction for an AI video, but the generated outfit may differ. The tool creates an original stage costume, not an authentic branded garment.
Makeup and hair
Try glowy skin, soft waves and a little shimmer for a runway-inspired finish. Use products you already know how to wear comfortably, and keep the face visible for a photo. Heavy masks, deep shadows and accessories across the eyes can make the reference less clear. No specific makeup brand or product is needed.
Turn the costume photo into a runway video
Take a full-body photo, head to feet, in good light with your face visible. Upload it, choose You and a look, confirm permission and buy a video pack. You can also skip making the costume and let the AI add the wings. Pink crystal, dark angel and snow angel offer different colour directions.
Watch the selected example before paying. The result is fictional AI imagery, so review the full video before sharing it and use the platform’s AI-generated label. Only upload yourself or an adult who agreed; do not upload celebrities or anyone under 18. A costume is not permission to use someone else’s photo.
Pet costume
Pet angel wings should be light, safe and worn only briefly under supervision. Avoid parts that restrict movement, breathing or vision, and remove the costume if the pet seems uncomfortable. Or skip dressing the animal altogether: use the pet runway look with one clear photo of the whole pet and no people in frame.
Your photo and private link
A full-body photo, head to feet, works best. A clear waist-up photo can also work for person looks. For pets, show the whole pet, nose to tail, with no people.

Questions about this guide
How do I make Victoria’s Secret angel wings for Halloween?
Use a light wire or foam-board frame, feather boas or craft feathers, elastic straps and hot glue. Let the glue cool, cover sharp ends and test whether you can walk and sit comfortably.
Can I make an angel runway video from my costume photo?
Yes. Use a clear full-body photo of yourself or a consenting adult, choose a look and pay for a video pack. The AI can also add the wings when you are not wearing a costume.
Can my dog or cat be an angel too?
Yes. Choose Your pet and upload a clear pet-only photo. For a physical costume, keep any wings lightweight and use them only briefly under supervision.
